Happy Monday Team Pistachio!!
We are getting extremely close to the day of the race! I would like to happily say that Sandy and I completed 9 miles of the course on Saturday! That included both hills of the race. Super stoked! Never thought I would ever be able to go that far, let alone up those hills! I am no runner, I am a jog/speed walk kind of gal, but that’s alright with me! Just to know I am pushing myself more than I ever have physically is exciting.
I know we all get wrapped up in our busy lives but I am asking all of you to buckle down for the next 4 weeks until the race and really train and help each other be successful! That especially means being active on the website. This is so important because we need to know where you are in your workout so that we can help you! I know I gave you guys the option of having notification of posts sent to your email, BUT, I went through and changed anyone who has it set not to receive email notifications because this way it will keep you in the know when someone has posted something on the website! These last 4 weeks are extremely important!
If it makes any of you feel better, I hadn’t ran for 2 weeks before I went out and did the 9 miles. So, if you haven’t been consistent with your training, it doesn’t mean you can’t do it.
I have always rejoined Team Pistachio AA and am not drinking until November 7th! (For sure otherwise I lose a bet of $500 that I don’t have.) I am on my 6th day of being alcohol free and I feel great! So if anyone wants to join me let me know! We can drink crystal light together at social gatherings!
I plan on running tomorrow morning around 8am on the course if anyone would like to go!
November 7th is the date! I’m so proud of all of you who are sticking with it although you might be freaked out! We can do it!!! And I heard the party after is really fun!!
